The situation is āreally upsettingā to Manilow, who isnāt ready to put touring behind him just yet. He has had to postpone several of his Last Concert farewell tour dates amid his ongoing recovery, with his next live performance slated to be held in Leeds on June 11.

But that was only the start of Manilowās health difficulties. Months afterward, he had a seven-day stint in the ICU due to a bad case of pneumonia.
āIt was terrifying. There were a couple of moments there that I thought, you know, this may be goodbye,ā Manilow reflected. āBut these people at this hospital they were just angels. Saints. I could cry so hard every time I think about these nurses and doctors.ā
Now, Manilow's ready to turn the beat around and return to the stage once again āĀ and hopes that his voice will be strong enough to join him.
āI canāt wait to get back. Iām in great shape. Iām ready to go. I just hope my voice is,ā he said. āIf I sound good, that would be great. I really donāt want to cry onstage, but I donāt know whether Iāll be able to hold that back this time.ā
