“Fabulous. Absolutely fabulous," he said of the campaign, which was meant to highlight the role of a WAG (a term meaning "wife and girlfriend" that refers to the partners of professional athletes) as a “symbol of influence, independence, and impact” in culture, per a statement from the outlet. In his interview, George — who has been married to Claire since 2019 — said he was “so excited” when he saw his wife's cover. “The only negative is that it came out at 5 a.m. this time, so we woke up to look at it,” he joked. “She's just crushing it. People are like, ‘Oh wow, Claire is cooler than you.' I've been saying it for 10 years, that my wife is cooler than me. Now you guys are starting to believe me.” George also joked that he planned to wallpaper his house with the cover.Claire also shares with PEOPLE what it means to redefine the term.

"I think it's just owning who you are, being a confident woman, and we all grow and we all come into ourselves as we age and we find out who we're going to be and we're just supporting our partners along the way and they're supporting us right back," she says. Her fellow 49ers WAG and best friend Kristin Juszczyk also joined her husband runway-side to support her bestie as she walked."So many of these girls are in the same boat, so it's really fun to be here and meet them and mingle," Claire says. Together the two host the podcast Wife'd Up, Mic'd Up, which follows their day in the life as WAGs.
