Yet one frustration never seems to go away for the most dedicated followers: international releases. While here in the U.S. we do get our fair share of delectable treats, some of the most mouthwatering creations never make it stateside.

The latest iconic mashup sending fans into a frenzy? Dunkin’s Hello Kitty and Friends drop, frustratingly available only in Peru. Featuring everything from multiple donut flavors to collectible merch, this is one of those head-scratching releases that makes you wonder: “Why not anywhere else?” And seriously, who’s greenlighting this, and can we have a word?

Spotted by the always-on-the-beat @snackolator, and quickly shared online to spread the news, this iconic international release quickly drew attention, with fans flooding the comments to share a mix of excitement and disappointment. From the initial thrill of seeing their favorite Hello Kitty characters on classic Dunkin’ donuts to the disappointing realization that it’s only available in Peru, the post understandably sent fans on a full roller coaster of emotions.

“Dunkin' just dropped a new Hello Kitty and Friends collab in Peru and this is cuteness overload,” @snackolator captioned their post. “First Dunkin' dropped the Simpsons in Korea and now Hello Kitty in Peru... will the US ever get some of these collabs?!”

“Crying in the U.S.,” one fan wrote, while another echoed the sentiment, adding, “I nearly had a heart attack thinking this was in America.”

If you happen to already be in Peru, you’re in luck—this one’s for you! But if you’re thinking about booking a flight or just want to live vicariously through the online hype, don’t worry, @snackolator did the hard work and rounded up all the details available on this utterly adorable release.

“They’ve got three filled donuts,” he wrote, noting that the exact flavors aren’t yet available, “for Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and My Melody, along with a Hello Kitty-decorated ring donut.”

In addition to the four donut offerings, fans can also grab collectible merch, including a tumbler, two tags and other collab items. The tumbler is white and features Hello Kitty and Friends stacked on top of each other, while the tags shown in the post include one Hello Kitty and one My Melody.
