The Howard Stern Show has lost a key co-host following a surprising staff overhaul.
Rahsaan Rogers, who dedicated 16 years to The Howard Stern Show, revealed his departure from the SiriusXM radio program via LinkedIn. Rogers is among at least a dozen individuals let go by SiriusXM earlier this month, following news that the station's star personality would reduce his schedule to just one live broadcast per week, while a former assistant filed a lawsuit making troubling allegations about the toxic workplace culture.
"After 16 incredible years with The Howard Stern Show and the Howard Stern Channels, I'm opening a new chapter," Rogers penned on LinkedIn. "I got to interview people I grew up admiring, direct live broadcasts in real time, and mentor some seriously talented producers along the way." The announcement came months after Stern showed support for Jimmy Kimmel after he was suspended from his show for a week last September.

He continued with his message, "Working inside the most successful franchise in talk radio taught me how great shows actually get made: preparation, instinct, and knowing what the audience wants before they do," reports the Express U.S.

Rogers continued, "To everyone I worked with over these 16 years: thank you. What a ride."
The SiriusXM upheaval follows a wave of Howard Stern Show fans canceling their subscriptions and the host's announcement that the program would be scaled back to once a week.

Making matters worse, multiple staff members also lost their positions and received disappointing severance packages, according to insiders speaking to The U.S. Sun. Following the severe staff cuts, the program has experienced significant transformations, with audiences now set to receive just one three-hour weekly episode, fronted by the 73-year-old shock jock.
Howard and his long-serving co-host, fellow 73-year-old Robin Quivers, first teamed up in March 1981. The duo created one of terrestrial radio's most legendary programs, delivering five live broadcasts each week before securing a massive $500 million contract with Sirius Satellite Radio in January 2006.

Once they established themselves at SiriusXM, their on-air presence gradually decreased. Initially, they reduced to four live shows weekly, airing Monday through Thursday, before dropping to three days, with the remaining schedule filled by holiday breaks and repeat broadcasts.
Currently, Howard is enjoying his prolonged summer break; though when he returns in September, audiences will encounter his reduced broadcasting schedule.
