Justin Trudeau applied sunscreen to girlfriend Katy Perry aboard a boat off the south of France this week, according to photos published by the Daily Mail, the latest public sighting in a relationship the two have documented for more than a year.
The photos show the former Canadian prime minister, 54, and the pop singer, 41, together during a vacation in France.
TMZ separately reported the couple spending time in the south of France around the same period.
Perry and Trudeau were first linked in July 2025, when they were seen dining together in Montreal and walking in Mount Royal Park during a stop on Perry’s Lifetimes world tour.
Trudeau attended her concert in the city two days later.
In October 2025, photos obtained by the Daily Mail and other outlets showed the pair kissing and embracing aboard Perry’s yacht, the Caravelle, off the coast of Santa Barbara, California. In the snaps, Perry appeared in a swimsuit; Trudeau was shirtless.
The couple made their first official public appearance together on Oct. 25, 2025, on Perry’s 41st birthday, when they were photographed leaving the Crazy Horse cabaret in Paris hand in hand when a fan gave Perry a rose outside the venue.
Two days later, performing at London’s O2 Arena, Perry addressed the relationship after a fan proposed to her from the crowd. “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago,” she told the audience, according to People.

The relationship continued into 2026 with Perry sharing a photo of herself kissing Trudeau in a New Year’s Instagram post captioned “Holidaze.” A source told Us Weekly at the time that the pair were “very smitten and into each other.”
The two have been travelling the world together and appeared together in Tokyo in November, where they met with former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and in Davos, Switzerland, in January, where Trudeau spoke at the Global Soft Power Summit.
In February, Perry posted photos of the couple skiing together and shared a black-and-white photo from a dinner.
Ahead of Perry’s European tour dates this summer, Page Six reported she was considering bringing her own yacht rather than chartering one for more privacy, according to a sourc for the outlet.
Perry announced her split from actor Orlando Bloom after a decade-long relationship, her fiancé of nearly four years, on July 4, 2025. She and Bloom share a 5-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom.
Trudeau, on the other hand, separated from his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. They share three children: Xavier, Ella-Grace and Hadrien.
