Millie Bobby Brown missed her scheduled appearance on *Good Morning America* with her *Stranger Things *costar Noah Schnapp — not because she's stuck in the Upside Down, but rather due to an injury.

Brown revealed in a recorded video message aired on Monday's *GMA* that she "took a fall" that resulted in her being unable to attend the taping.

"I'm really sorry I couldn't be there with you guys," Brown said as she tilted her camera angle to show her left arm in a sling. She added with a frown, "I took a fall. I wanted to still participate in any way I could, because you know me, Noah, I have to make it about me."

Noah Schnapp visits Good Morning America to discuss the final season of Stranger Things

She laughed before continuing seriously, "No, I'm very excited to ask you this question. I actually don't think I know the answer, considering I am your best friend. But what is your favorite family tradition to do at the holidays/favorite memory during the holiday season? Okay, I love you, good morning, and bye!"

"I'm so sad she's not here," Schnapp said. "Aw, Mills! I wish she was here."

Representatives for Brown did not immediately respond to **'s request for details regarding her injury.

Meanwhile, Schnapp answered Brown's question by revealing that his favorite holiday tradition is playing the game Fishbowl — or "salad bowl," according to *GMA* host Lara Spencer — with his family. "It gets crazy," he said.

When asked to sum up his entire *Stranger Things* experience in one word, Schnapp hilariously struggled and gave three words, "One big adventure. Oh, that's three! This one-word question I can never get right. You can't sum it with one word, but it's been my whole life. It's everything."

The *GMA* episode also debuted the first trailer for *Stranger Things* season 5's Volume 2 batch of episodes. And after Volume 1's four episodes left viewers on an epic cliffhanger, the sneak peek at episodes 5-7 revealed quite a lot about the upcoming conclusion of Netflix's hit series.

Eleven (Brown) formally recruits Kali (Linnea Berthelsen) to kill their "brother" after saving her from Dr. Kay's (Linda Hamilton) lab; Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) declares "it's time to seek new worlds"; Max (Sadie Sink) teams up with Holly (Nell Fisher) to explore the mindscape; and everyone is generally preparing for the worst, with Steve (Joe Keery) and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) declaring to each other, "You die, I die."

Despite the shocking reveal that Will (Schnapp) has powers of his own, he feels immense guilt over his failure to save the rest of the kids targeted by Vecna in their Volume 1 showdown. "We failed. We never stood a chance," he says. But his mom Joyce (Winona Ryder) confidently responds, "This is not over, not by a long shot."

Meanwhile, Dustin reveals an ominous warning about the Upside Down, saying everything they thought they new about this otherworldly dimension "is dead wrong."

"So much of the season was built around the idea of coming full circle, answering many of the questions that were posed all the way back in season 1," co-creator Matt Duffer previously told EW. "I think the two biggest questions that we didn’t really answer in season 1 that we do answer this season is, 'What is the Upside Down, truly?' and 'Why was Will taken?'"

The *Stranger Things 5* Volume 2 episodes premiere on Christmas Day starting at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Netflix. The series finale, clocking in at around two hours, will then debut on New Year's Eve at the same time.**
