Despite increased scrutiny on the royal family due to the scandal surrounding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew), it was tradition as usual for the royals Windsor on Easter Sunday today.
King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and more members of the royal family arrived together to attend the annual Easter Matins Service at St. George’s Chapel. While Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie (and their husbands) joined the royals last year, they were not in attendance this year. T&C understands their decision to miss Easter Sunday in Windsor was a decision made with the agreement of the King. Also missing this year was Mountbatten-Windsor, who despite his exile from royal life, has made rare appearances with the family on Easter Sunday in the past few years.
Easter 2026 also marks a return to Windsor for the holiday for the Wales family; they skipped the past two years. Last year and the year prior, they spent Easter privately as a family at their Anmer Hall home in Norfolk.
Easter is reportedly a key holiday for King Charles.
