Sydney Sweeney has "never gotten work done," she said in a new video interview for Allure
“Everybody on social media’s insane,” Sweeney said in the video, referring to critics comparing her now with photos of her younger self
The star also promised to "call" her The Housemaid costar Amanda Seyfried first should she ever change her mind about cosmetic procedures
Sydney Sweeney is shutting down the plastic surgery rumors, once and for all — and she has a message for those dissecting her appearance over the years.
While appearing opposite her The Housemaid costar, Amanda Seyfried, in a new interview for Allure, Sweeney, 28, got to select a “beauty rumor” she would like to debunk. The Euphoria star elected to shut down any speculation that she has “gotten work done.”
“Let’s debunk them all. I mean, I have never gotten work done,” Sweeney said in the video, adding, “I am so scared of needles, you have no idea.”
The Anyone But You actress — who began acting when she was a child — then directed a message at individuals on social media who make side-by-side comparisons using photos of her younger self and more recent snaps.

“You cannot compare a photo of me from when I was 12 to a photo of me at 26 with professional makeup and lighting! Of course I'm going to look different,” Sweeney said.
“Everybody on social media’s insane,” she added.
Meanwhile, Seyfried, 40, chimed in to tell her costar that some cosmetic procedures can be “really effective once you get older.”
“When you do—,” the Mean Girls star said as Sweeney cut her off to promise: “I’ll call you.”
“You gotta call me, and I'll give you a little bit of Ativan, and you'll be so excited,” Seyfried said. “But you don't need it yet.”

The duo’s conversation about cosmetic procedures in the Allure video ended with Sweeney sharing one more remark for those speculating that she has gotten work done.
Agreeing with Seyfried’s comment that she does not yet “need” any procedures, the Christy actress then added, “No, also if I did, you guys, my face would be even.”
“Not necessarily. What do you mean, 'even?' Is it uneven?” asked a confused Seyfried, prompting Sweeney to reveal that a childhood accident led her to get a non-cosmetic surgery on her face. One of her eyes “opens a little more than the other,” Sweeney explained, thanks to a wakeboarding accident that required 19 stitches.

“I still don’t see it, but there’s an art to it,” Seyfried told Sweeney, adding of cosmetic procedures, “You can’t just get it everywhere, like a lot of people do.”
This fall, Sweeney opened up to Variety about past criticism of her appearance, dating back to her teenage years — and revealed her plans to eschew cosmetic procedures in the years to come.
“I have very strong eyebrow muscles,” the star said in the interview, published on Oct. 27. “And I had someone tell me to fix my face or else I’m not going to make it. I should get Botox. I was 16!”
Elsewhere in the Variety interview, Sweeney said, “I’ve never gotten anything done. I’m absolutely terrified of needles. No tattoos. Nothing. I’m going to age gracefully.”
