On Easter Sunday, the extended British royal family gathered in Windsor for Easter Matins services at St. George’s Chapel.

Most of the royals arrived on foot, including Prince William and the Princess of Wales, along with their three children; Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence; Prince Edward and his son, James, Earl of Wessex; Princess Margaret’s daughter, Lady Sarah Chatto; and Peter Phillips and his fiancĆ©e Harriet Sperling.

King Charles and Queen Camilla, however, did not walk, instead driving up to the church. When they arrived, everyone was outside to greet them. As King Charles walked into St. George’s, he blew his son Prince William a kiss, then sweetly pinched his young grandson Prince Louis’s cheeks. Today marked Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis’s first appearance of 2026; they last appeared on Christmas Day 2025, also attending church services. It’s just Prince Louis’s second time attending Easter Sunday services in Windsor; he made his debut in 2023. Like his older brother Prince George, Prince Louis wore a suit and tie for the occasion. Their light blue ties coordinated with their dad, Prince William.

It’s possible the royal kids took part in an Easter egg hunt this morning at their new Forest Lodge home in Windsor; the family moved into their ā€œforever homeā€ this past fall. Prince William and Kate said on Easter Sunday 2018 that George and Charlotte had been on an Easter egg hunt that morning, but it’s unclear if it’s an annual tradition or not.
